Chinese smart phone giant Xioami has launched one more budget-category phone REDMI-5A on the Thursday under the price-point of 7000 INR, being named as “Desh Ka Smartphone” it is a successor of MI-4A which was a good option under the price of 6000INR.
One of the main highlights of the phone is ‘8-day’s battery life’ which refers to Standby time it also comes with pre-loaded MIUI 9 which should help the battery backup of the phone. Except for this there not much different than MI-4A to wow about, the specifications, review and my opinion about the Redmi-5A is as follows:
· Design &Built Quality:
Redmi-5A has polycarbonate body where the camera sensor is placed at back of the phone with LED flash and volume rocker and the power button is given at the right side of the phone and for the first time there are 2 Sim trays one with a Sim card, Micro-SD card slot and other with Sim slot. On the top you will have IR-blaster and a bottom you will get USB-port for charging and 3.5mm headphone jack.
· Display:
Redmi-5A has a 5-inch HD display with resolution 720x1280 pixels with density ~296 ppi. It features reading mode which protects your vision and reduces eye fatigue by filtering out blue light.
· Camera Sensors:
Redmi-5A bears a 13MP camera shooter with f/2.2 aperture at the back of the phone which is coupled with LED flash and PDAF and the front shooter of 5MP with f/2.0 aperture for decent selfies.
· Platform:
Redmi-5A is powered by Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with either 2GB or 3GB of RAM. It runs on MiUi-9 based on Android Nougat (7.0). The phone has 3000 mAh battery which will give you one day battery backup in heavy usage also.
· Sensors:
Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor but don’t know why they have excluded Gyroscope sensor.
· Review:
Redmi 5A is another good option provided by Xiaomi for the low-budget category buyers but this time there is catch if you are able to buy it in first 5-million units you can get it for 4,999 INR getting 1000 INR discount for the 16 GB/2GB variant which is a good deal in price point. But talking 32GB/3GB variant which is priced at 6,999 INR in the same price point you will get Redmi 4 with fingerprint sensor. If you want to have a Redmi 5A then you should buy 2GB RAM variant the 3 GB RAM variant is little over-priced according to me.
